Garden Plants By Post, Is a small home based plant nursery, we maybe small but we have over 25 years experience in the horticultural business, be it plant production, retail, landscaping, domestic commercial or amenity, Our products have been carefully selected by ourselves, we only sell products that we use or have used in the past that we know to be of exceptional quality and work as they should, we grow all of our plants ourselves from seed be it vegetables, ornamental grasses or perennials, we source Irish products from true Irish producers such as our range of raised beds, bee hive compost bins, wild bird nest boxes, electric fence testing walking stick, xmas tree stands and a range of many more products.

Our Seeds
Vegetables We purchase conventional vegetable seeds in bulk and repackage to provide seeds in reasonable quantity, to provide fresh vegetables all year round without you wasting any seeds that may not grow next year.
We have done this because we discovered that most seeds are sold in packets containing 100s plus of seeds, do you need 100s plus of cabbage plants etc, All of our seeds are below €1.50 a packet, our seeds are cheaper because you are not paying for fancy packaging, we package our seeds in a glassine envelope then in a plain envelope with sowing instructions on, nice and simple to keep costs down, which is why our seeds ARE value for money.

Ornamental Grass/Perennial We purchase ornamental grass seeds and perennials in bulk and repackage to provide seeds in reasonable quantity,

Plug Plants

Vegetable Plug Plants
Plug Plants are young plants ready for transplanting into your garden they are approximately 5cm - 7cm in height depending on the plant type,
If you do not have the time or equipment and seedling growing area we take the hassle away from you and grow plants which are ready for transplanting into your vegetable patch.
All plants are sold in batches of 10 of each variety of plant, other quantities less or more than 10 of each plant can be accomodated for, simply contact us
Plug plants are 30 cents each unless stated a different price alongside the plant, Other companies charge upwards of 40 - 50 cents a plant, the reason we can offer them for 30 cents is due to the packing we use recycled packaging, we use this method to keep costs down that we would only have to pass onto you, our customer, your plants are still packaged securely, you are not paying the extra for custom made plastic packaging and boxes.

Ornamental Grass/Perennial Plug Plants
Here we have young plants called Plug Plants of Ornamental Grasses and Perennial, these are sold in batches of 2 and are hardened off ready to be transplanted straight into your garden. We sell these for customers who do not have the facilities or time to raise young plants from seed. All plants come with a plant label, plant size approx 5 -7 cm depending on age and type of plants.

Bare Root Plants
Bare root plants are not always pretty on arrival but they are at least one year old and have been harvested from the field whilst dormant during the winter. We dig them up from the field on order.
Plant out on arrival and once the sunshine warms them they will continue to grow and bloom as if they have never been disturbed.
In autumn to early June, we offer for sale certain varieties of shrubs,perennials and ornamental grasses; in bare-root form from our own plant nursery.
Not only does purchasing bare-root plants save you money, but you will find that bare-root plants actually establish themselves more quickly in your garden.

We sell Irish made products where possible, when you see this flag on the item description page you know that the product is made in Ireland.
